Took car in for scheduled appointment to run diagnostics on check engine light . After an hour there still wasn’t any closer to revealing the source of why the light was on. Was charged for an hour tech time without any gain as to what was causing the light to be active. Wasn’t called on my phone to let me know the status. When I returned inside and inquired the receptionist said she tried paging but never called. Requested yet another hour just to check diagnostics. Still waiting on recall part as well. Btw.
It seems that on most visits to Don Moore I have some minor issue or incident. These things wouldn't bother me if it was a rare occurrence but the communication and service seems very sloppy. I'm really considering just driving the extra 25 minutes to the Henderson dealer for future work.
I own a 2012 Buick Enclave, The water pump needed to be replaced, I usually have my car serviced at Don Moore, because that's where we purchased the car. I was very disappointed that the quote that I was given was astronomically high. The Service Department wanted to charge $883.00 and some change for parts and labor. I went to another auto repair shop and was charged $385.20 for the same parts and labor, that's almost a $500.00 difference. That's insane!
