What's New in the 2022 Chevrolet Trax

The 2022 Chevrolet Trax received small updates this year. The Trax’s former 138-horsepower 1.4-liter 4-cylinder engine was increased to 155 horsepower.

The Trax’s airy cabin features ample rear-seat legroom and cargo room. Stitched dashboard inserts cultivate a more upscale look. The Trax Special Edition models, which include the all-black Trax Midnight Edition and Sport Edition, include 18-inch gloss black aluminum wheels, all-season blackwall tires, black front and rear skid plates, front and rear black bowtie emblems, and black beltline molding and door handles. The Sport Edition adds red accent stripes on the wheels, a black grille, and black Trax badge with a red outline.

The Trax comes with rear flat-folding seats, 60/40 second-row split-folding seats with 48.4 cubic feet of cargo space. The interior materials come in either jet black deluxe cloth/leatherette or jet-black leatherette. A mounted 7-inch touchscreen comes standard.

Both of the Trax’s trims (LS and LT) come with a turbocharged 1.4-liter, 4-cylinder engine that generates 155 horsepower alongside a standard six-speed automatic transmission and your choice of either front or all-wheel drive.

The Trax has solid handling and a generous list of standard equipment. Safety features include available forward-collision warning, available blind-spot monitoring, and available rear parking sensors, among others.
