The body of the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 conveys stability and confidence with its wide stance and supersized features, which makes it a great family vehicle and a work truck.

The front fascia has been refreshed and has a new grille that positions the headlamps lower to emphasize the chiseled hood and fenders. It gets wing-shaped daytime running lamps that have animated lighting sequences.

Power and Performance of the 2023 Silverado 1500

The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500’s power comes from four different engine options that range from gasoline to diesel and vary in horsepower and torque to address the different needs of pickup truck buyers.

The first is a 2.7-liter turbocharged inline-four that gets updated with a more rigid cylinder block casting for reduced noise and more output. The result is 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.

Chevrolet also offers the 2023 Silverado 1500 with a 3.0-liter diesel Duramax that sends 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque to the wheels. Then there are the V8 engines – a 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 with 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque and a 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 (420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque).

All engines use a 10-speed automatic transmission.
